Knockoff Mermaid Tails

Updated: Jun 4

What is a knockoff?

knockoffs are made by printing stolen images or stolen designs on cheap fabric. Improper monofins (that can cause serious injury or drowning) come with these tails making them very dangerous.

Avoiding Knockoffs:

Make sure you only purchase tails from actual tailmakers and real brands that have websites with tail safety info on them.

What to do if you have a knockoff tail. Most are purchased on accident, the best thing to do is return it and leave a bad review to warn others! if you can’t return it, throw it away!

They steal photos of hand made, one of a kind, silicone tails. They remove the background and print the stolen photo onto low quality fabric. It is sewn into a tail and sold. they remove the watermark to advertise their knockoffs with the original photo.

Below is a collection of Knockoffs I found on Amazon, Aliexpress, Ebay and Bonanza.

More knockoffs

more knockoffs but these are from stolen fabric tails

More knockoffs but these aren’t exact these were copied and slightly altered

How can you help prevent the spread of knockoffs?

They are already such a widespread problem! If no one buys them, they will stop making them.

Raise awareness! Leave bad reviews! Contact sellers and tell them they are selling stolen art and putting kid‘s lives in danger!
